Under tournament regulations, higher-ranked Sri Lanka advanced automatically to the last four over Nepal.   Blockbuster Semi-Final Lineup: Sri Lanka will face defending champions India on Thursday, October 1, while Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in the other semi-final.   Clean Sweep of Quarter-Final Washouts: All four quarter-final fixtures in Nisshin were completely rained out without a ball bowled, allowing all four higher-seeded teams (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh) to progress directly to the semi-finals.   Bounce-Back Performance: The progression marks a bounce-back from the previous Asian Games for Sri Lanka, where they were eliminated in the quarter-final stage. A few hours later, the fourth quarter-final between Bangladesh and Malaysia was also washed out.
