Amite Hasan replaces Mominul in Bangladesh squad for Sylhet Test

Amite Hasan, a wicketkeeper, has been recalled by Bangladesh for the second Test against West Indies, which is scheduled to begin on November 5 in Sylhet. It has earlier reported that Mominul Haque was doubtful for the second Test. Amite will take the place of the left-handed batter, according to the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Amite, a right-handed batsman with a lot of domestic runs under his belt, has only played in one Test thus far, in Harare earlier this year against Zimbabwe. He achieved 4 and 25 scores. According to a statement released by the BCB, "Right-hander Amite Hasan has replaced Mominul Haque, who is unavailable for the second Test due to the concussion rule that states that a player diagnosed with a concussion must observe a mandatory minimum of seven calendar days away from play before returning to the field." Jaker Ali Anik was named Bangladesh's concussion substitute for the remainder of the first Test against West Indies because Mominul showed signs of concussion after receiving a head blow. When Mominul dropped Roston Chase on 27 while fielding at short leg in the 78th over of West Indies' first innings on the third day, he injured himself while fielding. He was informed later that he would not be participating in the match in any way. In the current two-match Test series against West Indies, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship, Bangladesh is 1-0 down. In the first Test at Dhaka, the visitors defeated them by eight wickets in four days.
