Due to a left hamstring injury, fast bowler Lutho Sipamla will not play in the T20I tri-series between South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. Sipamla bowled nine deliveries in South Africa's first game against Namibia before leaving the field and did not play match two against Zimbabwe. He will be replaced in the squad by Andile Simelane, who has played 10 T20Is for South Africa. Sipamla is the second player to be ruled out of the series after batter Jason Smith could not make the trip because of a groin injury. The squad did not replace Smith. After Kagiso Rabada's absence from the ODIs against Australia on Sunday as he recovers from a right hamstring injury, he is also the third major concern for South Africa. Rabada's availability for the Australia Tests will be decided closer to that series' start date on October 9. Two more Twenty20 Internationals for South Africa are scheduled in Namibia, with the possibility of a third in the tri-series final. Three One-Day Internationals are also scheduled in Namibia. Before the SA20, they play hosts to Australia for ODIs and Tests, Bangladesh for a full tour, and England for ODIs and Tests.
