Josephine Nkomo to lead Zimbabwe for maiden India tour
For the white-ball tour of India, Zimbabwe has kept the same team that played West Indies in September and October.
Zimbabwe posted a historic first-ever win against West Indies and in the ICC Women's Championship, beating the visitors by four wickets in the second ODI in Harare. Josephine Nkomo will lead that same 15-member side against India, which will also feature Nyasha Gwanzura and Michelle Mavunga, who took seven wickets between them in that win, alongside Modester Mupachikwa, who top-scored in that game.
The squad also features Beloved Biza and Kelis Ndhlovu, who finished as top ODI and T20I run-scorers respectively in the series against West Indies.
This will be the first time women from Zimbabwe visit India and India and Zimbabwe meet. Raipur will host the T20Is on October 16, 18, and 20, while Baroda will host the ODIs on October 23, 25, and 28. The ODIs will be part of the ICC Women's Championship.
