The USA has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, featuring former Sri Lanka allrounder Shehan Jayasuriya, who is set to make his USA debut. Jayasuriya, 34, played 12 ODIs and 18 T20Is for Sri Lanka between 2015 and 2020 and represented the country in the 2016 T20 World Cup. He relocated to the US and has played in franchise-based T20 leagues, including Major League Cricket. With USA Cricket presently suspended by the ICC, the squad was picked by a panel led by head coach Pubudu Dassanayake, with the selection observed by a compliance officer appointed by the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). The squad, led by Monank Patel, includes 10 players from the 2024 T20 World Cup team, where USA reached the Super 8 stage. Other notable players include Pakistan-born Mohammad Mohsin, who is eyeing his USA debut, and Shubham Ranjane, grandson of former India international Vasant Ranjane.
