Contract Status: After spending the previous year on a hybrid deal—which balanced his international duty with franchise commitments—Miller was omitted from CSA's latest central contracts list.   Player's Stance: Speaking ahead of South Africa's series against Australia in Durban, Miller emphasized that "nothing has changed" regarding his desire to represent the Proteas: "My priority has always been South Africa... I still make myself available, so if selected, then I'll play."   Targeting 2027 Home World Cup: The 37-year-old remains eager to earn a spot in South Africa's squad for the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup, which will be co-hosted on home soil.   Emerging Competition: Miller acknowledged the growing pressure from younger middle-order contenders (including Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, and Matthew Breetzke), noting that healthy squad competition is positive for South African cricket. "There's a lot of players putting their hands up and it's about doing what works for me, giving myself the best chance. preparing really well and giving everything that I can for the team," he said. "I've got to trust what's worked in my career and not put a lot of pressure on myself because I know what I'm worth and I know what I'm capable of.
